Life in Argentina

Hello Everyone,

We are doing well down here in Buenos Aires. As you guys are cooling off for winter, down here in the southern hemisphere it’s heating up as it becomes summer!

About 3 weeks ago we moved into the apartment where we’ll be living.  Little by little we’ve been furnishing the apartment, and preparing our home.  This process takes a while here, because a lot of the items we’ve been buying have to be made, then delivered.  So a 2-3 week waiting time is not abnormal!

We’ve enjoyed getting to know the city of Buenos Aires some, and we’ve been getting to know some Argentine friends as well.

While we’ve been getting everything situated we’ve written a few blog posts that we didn’t end up posting, sorry!  Below is a post that Audrey wrote a few weeks ago:

The second Sunday we were here (October 20) I celebrated my first Mother’s day! It was such a blessing to celebrate being a mother. Derek and Andrew bought me roses and some oreo ice cream from my favorite ice cream shop (it didn’t take long to find good ice cream)!  As we’ve been adjusting to a new home, we continue to adjust to being new parents too!  We are so blessed and thankful for all that God has blessed us with.

Andrew is continuing to grow, and is doing well.  We’ve put some pictures of him and other things from Argentina on the photos page.

We’ll be in contact, feel free to send us an e-mail anytime. We hope that each of you are doing well.

God Bless,
Derek, Audrey and Andrew Tucker
